HomeOur Children ForeverAbout the Book Our Children Forever "The other side is not someplace a million miles up in space. I know I've used this example a hundred times, but it still seems to be the one most people can relate to. In the Wizard of Oz Auntie Em appears in the witch's crystal ball calling to Dorothy, and Dorothy cries back, 'Auntie Em, I'm right here in Oz! But Dorothy is confused because Auntie Em doesn't hear her.
Many of the children come through and refer to that scene to explain what it's like for them after they've crossed over. They understand that their parents think they're not here anymore, because they don't see or feel them physically. Yet those children are reaching out, saying,"I'm here, I'm here. Why do you think I'm dead, that I'm not here." They often say that it's very frustrating for them to feel still a part of their loved one's lives, yet most of the time their loved ones have no idea how close these children really are." Excerpt from the book
In this book the famous medium, George Anderson focuses on children and the messages they give from the spirit world. There are many stories, including those from babies, young children, adolescents, and those who have passed from murder and suicide. The stories are fascinating as they provide a background for the reading, and in most instances, the readings are extremely accurate, down to names and nicknames that no one could have known. In almost every case the parent(s) felt better after the readings, and I imagine the reader will also. That was my experience.
In virtually every case the children passed on the messages that they were fine, in fact growing in their new home, and that they are being looked after by loved ones, so they aren't alone. They also pass on the message of forgiveness, for those that have caused their death, and for those who the parents are blaming.
It's nice to have a book that focuses specifically on children, as parents who have lost children have their own grief issues that cannot be thought of in the same way as other grieving people. I know this from firsthand experience.
Reading Our Children Forever certainly helped me to understand that I am not alone in my suffering and the parable of the mustard seed comes to mind. Although this isn't sufficient to alleviate grief, it is of some comfort, as I am not in contact with many people that have lost children.
I felt better having read this book, because it reconfirms some thoughts I have about life after death and how our loved ones are fairing on the other side, and that they are still part of our lives, thus the title of the book.
